Early Life
Beer was born on March 5, 1999 in Jericho, New York, to a Jewish family. Her father, Robert Beer, is a luxury home contractor, and her mother Tracie Beer, an interior designer. He has a younger brother named Ryder. He celebrated his Bar and Bat Mitzvah in 2012.
Career
Beer began uploading videos to YouTube of herself singing covers of popular songs in early 2012. These videos caught the attention of Justin Bieber , who tweeted a link to his cover of Etta James ' song "At Last" to his followers. This led to Beer becoming a top topic on Twitter and gaining substantial media coverage. Bieber signed Beer privately to the record company he was signed to, Island Records ,and at that time was managed by Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun.
Beer partnered with Monster High, and recorded a theme song for the franchise entitled "We Are Monster High". In February 2013, Cody Simpson re-released his song "Valentine" with Beer which received airplay on Radio Disney , but was never officially released. On September 12, 2013, Beer released his debut single and music video entitled "Melodies" written by Peter Kelleher, Ben Kohn, Thomas Barnes and Ina Wroldsen.The video features Bieber.
Beer began work on her pop and R&B- influenced debut album , stating that "the songs are slow, sad songs, happy songs, songs about men, and songs about being yourself. I make sure I'm happy with all the songs, because if I'm not happy with them, I can't expect anyone else to like them, you know?" The album is believed to have been removed.
"Unbreakable" is the second single released by Beer. The song was released on June 17, 2014 and was written by Jessica Ashley, Evan Bogart, Heather Jeanette Miley, Matt Schwartz, Emanuel Kiriakou and Andrew Goldstein and produced by Kiriakou and Goldstein. On 16 February 2015, it was announced that Beer would be the featured artist on DJ duo Mako's new single "I Won't Let You Walk Away". The song was released as a digital upload on February 24, 2015 along with a music video. The song peaked at number 43 on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, number 33 on Dance/Electronic Digital Songs, and number 19 on Dance/Mix Show Airplay in the United States. On September 24, 2015, Beer released "All For Love" featuring American duo Jack & Jack.
